Most likely what you have read is the wet bulb temperature. Relative humidity needs to be around 50-65% for incubation then at least 80% for the hatch, though my duckling just hatched with 65% humidity, and anywhere from 25-50 during incubation

Here are my 2 baby Aussie Spot ducklings. Dark and Light...not sure about boy or girl. So sweet....I'll get better pics tomorrow. They are 1 day old now.

Thanks! The little yellow one had sticky stuff all over her, so I had to give her a little sponge bath. That's why they ended up getting their pic taken in my kitchenaide mixer bowl. I had to keep the dry ducky near and safe while I cleaned off little sticky face...and I had just finished making my Easter Bread dough in that bowl...

My grandbabies?!

I don't know if color is any indication when they hatch, but the daddy had the markings of the one that is blonde and brown (and so does their sibling here). I've not hatched more out, yet so not sure if the color says anything about gender with aussie's or not.

yes, your grandbabies. The other 2 eggs had duckies in them, but they didn't hatch. I checked them today, and they were perfect, but had died. Not sure why...their yolks weren't gone yet, but they were so little and it was so sad to see them dead.

These 2 are so cute though- and seem to be fine. I do have the light one by itself right now, it was shaky after having its little bath and I didn't want the chicks in that brooder box knocking it over. I'll put it back with its brooder mates tonight.

I'm sorry more didn't hatch out, but you've got more than me!

I only have one that hatched out so far this season.
