Who's Right - Me or My Hubby?

Got a question for you all. I started a trivia web site and my husband said my white background was too boring. So I brightened it up a little - just wanted to make it pop a bit. NOW HE SAYS IT'S UGLY - I just say it's something people will remember. Who's right?

Yellow hurts my eyes.... puts a strain on it...

at least that color yellow does...

how about a nice muted tone - ? Greys and blues are easiest on the eyes and cause less strain. Like BYC's colors.... they are the easiest on the eyes (proven actually).

OY yeah it strains my eyes.

Go with something light, like cream or eggshell

or just a light shade of any color, like dusky blue instead of royal blue

I don't even try to see what websites like that are about. It hurts my eyes and I immediately click the red X and never go back.

The yellow is quite bright. What about a soothing blue with a darker blue text color... or if you like black you could go with an electric blue or lime gree font?

sorry yellow is a bad color to have. it is really bright and hurts peoples eyes.

Never use [COLOR=33FF00]lime green[/COLOR] for a font color. That is as bad on the eyes as the [COLOR=CCFF33]yellow [/COLOR]background.

I would rather look at boring colors and be able to read it than look at that color that hurts my eyes.
