Who's Setting Eggs This Week[end]? [August 8-14]

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling better about it today, I'm still mad but not as mad as I was yesterday.
I was able to find some other bbs Orphington eggs on Craigslist, so I got 6 and was able to set them all last night (though not before my incubator had another temperature freak out)
I need a new incubator. Any suggestions?

You know i lost my first 2 hatches due to temp spikes! i just bought a new bator and am waiting for my silkie eggs arriving on Sat. What kind do you have?

Well, my showgirls didn't show up today. Pleaseeeeee let them come tomorrow. I hate to have them sit in the post office til Monday!

WRVgirl Im so sorry to hear that, I know how excited you where.

There are so many stories like that, I am too scared to have eggs shipped, even though I look at whats for sale on this site every day. The best of luck with getting more eggs or a refund. I am still debating wheather or not I should talk to the lady I got my last batch of eggs from... I drove 150 miles one way to go pick them up, and when I got there she had a black rooster in with her Lavender Ameraucana hens. Over the phone she told me she had Lavender Ameraucana eggs, but after driving that far i did not want to go home empty handed so I bought 6 for $20. Only 3 hatched (worst hatch rate of all the eggs in the bator at that time) All black, and one has a crossbeak. I am so mad but I havent said anything yet.

I've got the one they sell at Tractor supply. Its a little giant.

My temps seem stable now, I'll be looking into a brinsea for Christmas this year though. I just hate spending money on eggs only to lose them because of temp control issues.

That's awful.

I was just mad because I had just got done singing the praises of the USPS, both of my other egg shipments arrived unharmed and in great condition [they were both packed in an egg carton though [which really burns me up about this seller! $70 worth of eggs and you couldn't have shipped them in a $1 egg carton???]

I'm nervous for tomorrow, I'm driving 3 hours away to pick up some SLW pullets and I'm terrified that they aren't going to be the "show quality" that the seller claims them to be. I don't want to waste that much gas and time for crummy chicken lines, you know?

I'd probably have emailed her and told her how disappointed you were with the hatch and the fact that they weren't even what they were supposed to be!

I'm so glad to see that everyone elses eggs are showing up in good condition. I set mine up last night, we'll see what I get out of this hatch!

Terrible Packaging! I always receive my eggs packed in a polystyrene egg box and each egg is padded egg is wrapped in a tissue. So sorry for you !

OK, I've just set all 18 eggs and hoping for a nice varied hatch in 21 days time! My first attemt failed miserably so fingers crossed

i just bought a hovabator GENESIS 1588... after months of reading about all the bators... for the price that is the one for me. I was thinking of spending a lot less...but they were all crap according to other ppl on here...
i paid 154.00 with shipping and I live in Puerto Rico...
