I have my first broody and I didn't exactly count the days but Im sure its soon its been at least 2 weeks.

Tomorrow will be day 20. I pressed my ear to the incubator and I can't hear anything, nothing is moving...but my cat will not get off of it. He has only left his station on top of the lid (it's a cooler bator) for a few minutes today to eat and poop. He knows what comes out of those eggs and somehow he knows they are about to hatch.

So when my first baby hatched he got the carton all wet. I am n ot sure if I should open the bator to change it out or just leave it. Any suggestions?

BSB you sound like me I have put my fist hatch outside in a growout pen the second is still in a brooder and I have 41 more ready to hatch on the 1. DS has already started building more growout pens and tomorrow DH is going to a breeder to get Blue Jersey Giants. SQ. So we have better get building more ourselves. lol

I posted on another topic, I have 78 hatching today/tommorrow. They are shipped eggs from two different people. Didn't candle, shells are colored and I have a hard time seeing them with my eyes.

This morning 2 ameraucana have hatched, waiting for others now. Have to leave for a while this afternoon, watch them hatch then.

that the maran, bantam cochin and jap bantams hatch ok!!!

We went to bed last night and noticed one little pip on just one of the eggs. We awoke at 7:15 this morning and the one chick was completely out and walking all over the other eggs. All the other eggs have been rolling all over the bator, should I be worried about the others? No signs from any of the others. We had ten eggs and three of them were supposed to hatch yesterday.
