Why a dodge?

Does a dodge truck make ya manly or something? Is the gas mileage good? Some folk's logic makes no sense to me..
On the you of tubes a ruff n' tuff cowboy (or some southern guy) told another user to grow a pair and get a dodge. But why a dodge? Should I look into getting a dodge?

I personally want something that doesn't look too ugly (smart car or mini cooper), has good gas mileage, something that can connect to my iPod (radio stations talk too much), and a good speaker system.. I don't really care about looks other than the ugly, because on the inside I would put Hello Kitty and other Sanrio related items in there.
Will a dodge fulfill my needs?

Do you use the car alot though? When I use mine I'll be driving it to school and back 5 days a week. It's a 20-25 minute drive depending on if the gate is backed up or not.

I have a 2004 3/4 ton Dodge Ram four door diesel pickup. It's got 140 thousand miles on it and has never been in the shop. It gets 18.5 miles to the gallon. I drive it everyday and a twenty minute drive is just a ride into town for us. My parents house is two hour round trip and I regularly go to Oklahoma which is a good four and a half to five hour round trip. I have no complaints about the truck and fully expect it to last me another eight years.

We have a 2001 Dodge Dakota pickup and 2002 Dodge Caravan...great vehicles for us but the truck has a little V8 and it does drink gas. The van gets about 21 miles to the gallon as long I don't weight it down with feed bags LOL!

My engine blew in my 2004 dodge ram at 101000 miles. Not even 1000 miles over warranty and we had to pay out of pocket. The truck has been one problem after the next and has cost a bloody fortune. The only good thing is it was a beautiful truck untill the entire thing started rusting out. Dont get much for 40k now a days. Buy a diesel!!!

Ooh, sounds nice.. And they are good with feed bags right? When mom goes to buy feed with her mini van the mini van gets heavy in the back and my mom drives like a slug. We always take the lesser used highway home instead of the freeway.

I can load up as many as four 50lb bags in the back compartment and three more on each bench seats in the back. I've hauled foundation blocks too. Wood 2 x 4. and all of our reenactment gear which totalled up to three hundred lbs or so with all the equipment and drives just fine. We use it on the highways more when we got it and now less events, once a month trip to feed store, I take the van to my daughter's school five miles away each way. I can only fill up every ten days up to 14 days for the s chool trips and grocery store trips. I live in the city.

Figure out what you want in a vehicle - and then look at the different makes and models and choose the one that fits your needs and preferences best. When I got a new vehicle a few months ago, I ended up getting an SUV (after over a year of looking) - because I needed to be able to load 50 lb. bags of chicken feed, bags of pine shavings and other materials for our animals and garden easily, but I also needed room for carseats for my grandchildren. I wanted some comforts/luxuries like bluetooth, iPod hookup, etc. The gas mileage is good - and it fits my needs perfectly.
