If you see any of those symptoms, I would treat with Tylan 50 or whatever broad sprctrum antibiotic you may have.

Will do. I don’t have tylan, or any other antibiotics unfortunately. Maybe some old people ones, but that is a Hail Mary. I do have Oil of Oregano, supposedly a natural antibiotic used in poultry, I could use that until Tylan arrived. If you see any of those symptoms, I would treat with Tylan 50 or whatever broad sprctrum antibiotic you may have.
Good to know, that would make sense. She has been laying for a couple of weeks now. I won’t rule it out since I would love for that to be the reason. Do you think she could still be having glitches after laying for a month plus? I sure hope so.I will say when my Runners started back laying after being off laying since last Oct till just a week ago I got about 4 of those same misshapen eggs, I just chalked it up to starting back after so long not laying. Now all the egg look normal. Hopefully, there isn't anything serious going on with your ducks and flock.
They egg in the photo is a soft egg. I ran out of OS for the past week though, snd just started offering it again. I was blaming it on that. This is the first soft shell I’ve gotten from them.My Pekin Duck has been laying wierd eggs for quite some time. It looks like the egg you shared is also not a hard shell either. Same thing with my Pekin.
I treated with Enrofloxacin because she stopped laying for a while and then laid some worrisome possible lash eggs. I've read about ducks having inflammation in the oviduct that causes odd eggs like this. I have an anti inflammatory, and I'll probably start that soon. I don't have a diagnosis but I've often wondered about egg drop syndrome. I never hear anyone mention that, but if you read up on it, it seems like a possibility. My duck started with laying odd shaped eggs and then started laying soft shelled eggs, no matter if she's using OS or calcium. A few other members have experienced this for months until the duck took a break and then started laying normally again. My worry is keeping them well and without EYP.They egg in the photo is a soft egg. I ran out of OS for the past week though, snd just started offering it again. I was blaming it on that. Interesting, did you get a possible diagnosis for your Pekin? I see in your next post you treat with Enrofloxacin, is than an antibiotic?
