Why am I getting these misshapen eggs consistently?

I think that @KaleIAm also has first hand experience with infectious bronchitis. Shoots, this on top of ALV, when does it end.

Now that I really think about it, I have noticed head shaking in my poultry before. Since I never saw any other symptoms, I always blamed it on the rain, or the ducks shaking their heads after swimming.
Infectious Bronchitis is found in chickens only, or that is my understanding. Doesn't look typical of wrinkled and misshapen eggs I've seen in photos of birds affected with IB either).
ALV, pretty much only in chickens, but possible in Turkey, Guinea Fowl, Doves and Pheasants but rare.

It may be a glitch, but I don't know a lot about diseases in ducks, so will defer to the others.

I treated with Enrofloxacin because she stopped laying for a while and then laid some worrisome possible lash eggs. I've read about ducks having inflammation in the oviduct that causes odd eggs like this. I have an anti inflammatory, and I'll probably start that soon. I don't have a diagnosis but I've often wondered about egg drop syndrome. I never hear anyone mention that, but if you read up on it, it seems like a possibility. My duck started with laying odd shaped eggs and then started laying soft shelled eggs, no matter if she's using OS or calcium. A few other members have experienced this for months until the duck took a break and then started laying normally again. My worry is keeping them well and without EYP.
Interesting, I'll read up on that for sure. Thanks for posting this, definitely a possible diagnosis.

Interesting, good to know. I was origionally wondering the same thing, if ducks could even get it. Then I remembered @KaleIAm mentioning a while back that she may have been dealing with it in her ducks.
That being said, I did not notice any respitory symptoms on either of my blue egg layers. I checked them both and all were clean. Their keels did seem a bit on the thin side, but I might need to offer more feed. I feed S&P soaked daily, so maybe I need to feed more? Most days I go out and theres still a bit leftover. Sometimes it gone by the afternoon though.

What is S&P?

Check out this extremely odd shaped egg laid by Honey BooBoo, my Pekin Duck. Her eggs were still shelled nicely except for the poked out area, at the time she laid this. This was the beginning of her egg shell quality issues and the oddest I've ever noticed, which is what lead me to take a picture. It's like the opposite of a slab sided egg 🤷🏻‍♀️

Almost look like a river stone. Strange when I had a pair of Rouen ducks I don't remember ever getting eggs.

Interesting. If I think this might be my issue, than maybe I let her hatch a few eggs. I know she'll go broody, she does every year. A very successful, and fantastic mom. ☺️ I wasn't going to let her brood this year, buuuuuut, now I might have to.:gig
Its not looking like a respiratory infection so far. None of the chickens are showing any symptoms, and they definitely would be it seems like. No respiratory symptoms from the ducks either. I'm going to read up on egg drop syndrome, and otherwise just assume its a glitch? Maybe if she stops laying to hatch eggs, than that will set everything straight as well.
