Why did she have to say that...

Just go to school get your work done, ignor all the jerks go home take care of the things you love and after High School you can start your life. I use to really dislike the teachers who would tell my girls that high school was the best years of their life! Wow I told the girls if thats what they think I feel real bad for them! Cheer up things get soooooo much better.

I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I have to say that I was in a similar spot in high school. You know what I find satisfying now 11 years after graduation? A vast majority of the cheerleaders and popular girls who used to pick on me now no longer have their tiny figures, have lost their good looks and really aren't doing much of anything with their lives. I think that's why I pushed myself to get into my art and my photography and get recognition for myself. So that's my advice to you. Forget what kids your age are saying right now, because most of them have forgotten the golden rule their mommies hopefully taught them; if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Focus on you, your talents and do what you love. Don't let anyone stand in your way, and don't listen to the folks who have nothing better to do than belittle you. Looks fade in time. Talent doesn't.

By the way, if that is you in your avatar picture there... you are NOT ugly.

Wow I could have written that. I met DH when I was 18, but we didn't start dating or anything at all till I was 19 and had been in college for a year.
We got married a month after my 20th birthday.

I don't talk to ANYONE, even my best friends from high school!! It's weird really, but each person moves off in different directions and we just kinda lose contact. These were the people I talked to EVERY night, heck I learned to type by instant messaging them on aim. Now I'm lucky to get occasional updates via facebook.

I always lived in my sister's shadow and still do to a degree, but I'm the one who is happily married, owns a house, gets to buy chickens or whatever I want, etc. Just because she has bigger boobs and a better job doesn't really mean jack squat. I just want to be happy. You will find something, don't get too discouraged!

FIRST, like yourself and your looks because if you don't, you have no right to expect others to.
SECOND, be yourself; it's impossible to do that wrong.
THIRD, don't be so wrapped up in yourself; that's the makings of a very small package.
