Why do Chicks feather faster on one wing than the other.

Why do Chicks feather faster on one side than the other? I have 6 new Serama babies that the wing feathers are just coming in .4 on the left side and the other 2 the feathers on the right are coming in faster . I was just wondering if anyone knew why this is so. Here are 2 of them for example .

I've never actually seen that, so it could be something genetic to those chicks.

thing is I noticed it with two different batches one from South of me in Arkansas and another batch I just hatched from WV. Thought it was odd .

I see you are using a heat plate? Could have something to do with it??

In your pictures the feathers themselves look about the same length but the sheaths are short on one side, so maybe the chicks are pruning more to one side? Could be something to them being left or right winged??

All wild theories of course.
