Why do I only see New Hampshire REDS for sale on Craigslist?

After a long search I've been put in a situation where I'm only left with the option of buying on Craigslist, unfortunately. I kept looking for a breeder but they never replied to the e-mails. Only website I found only s sold pullets for $140 and that's a bit over what i wanted to spend. Why are the New Hampshire on Craigslist have the word, 'Red", at the end, and don't have much of an orangy color?

Are they just hatchery New Hampshire?

Any one calling them New Hampshire 'Reds' does not have true New Hampshire chickens or at best probably has poor quality birds. Try the Texas state thread or attend a local poultry show and try to locate a breeder.
