Why do some attachments look like this?

I noticed that button. I just left it alone. I was wondering if there was a difference in picture quality, and that's why they have the two different options?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but i think the difference is full image is more full, while the other option is more square.

No you're right, I just don't know why they would give us an option like that unless it was for loading speed or picture quality. You can click on the thumbnail pictures in the post and they enlarge.

I believe it is best to always use the insert full image.

Ok I will start using it then. Especially if theres no difference besides having to click on the one and not the other.

I believe it has to do with internet connection/speed at the time it's uploaded or when viewing it.

I agree. If it happens on my phone and I reload the page a lot of the time it loads the thumbnail just fine.
