Why do you like Backyard Chickens?

I love BYC because in spite of our obvious differences in politics, religion, backgrounds and ethnicities we can come together and bond over this obsession we share for crazy little feathered critters. It's amazing how this one little shared passion can make everyone helpful and lend advice and send up prayers or positive energy on behalf of people we don't even know. BYC gives me hope that perhaps we have a bond of some kind with everyone in the world, we just haven't found out what it is yet.

I found BYC when my DS, Hotwings Stable, joined 4-H and the poultry project.

I knew nothing about chickens, other than how to cook them. So, I googled and BYC came to my rescue and have been here ever since.

So, because I know more than most parents of kids in the poultry project, I was given the poultry leader position. I have had to learn a lot, and here is where I learn it.

I like my chickens better than I like mose people.
AND if anyone gets on my nerves (not happened so far), I just remember that it's the Internet...Nothing could happen that "Ctrl-Alt_Delete" can't fix...

I Googled for chicken coop designs and browsed most all of them here for inspiration and advice. I signed onto the forum before the chickens arrived. In fact, I found local BYCers who helped me start my flock. I couldn't have done this chicken venture without BYC. Now each day I need my BYC fix.
