Why does she seem so weak? Day old muscovy duckling.

Hi all, my two ducklings are 4 days old and 1 day old. I was wondering why my day old duckling seems so weak? They can both walk but she has a harder time. When I brought them outside she just sat on one spot and ate whatever she could reach from that one spot. Here are pictures of both of them sitting and standing.

Hatching is hard work. 4 day old ducklings are drinking and eating and ready to wander. Day old ducklings would still be in the nest resting if they were with a mother. Give it time to see if it will get stronger.

Okay, thank you! She seems stronger today she chased her friend around the yard and they both swam.

You should see newborn chicks, they look like roadkill and act as if their dead. They don’t usually even eat. Lets hope she gets better, im sure she will with some time.

She certainly seemed stronger just now when they took a bath. She was splashing and chirping and jumped out on her own.

Yup! She follows the older one around my yard and they cry if they can't see each other.

Definitely stronger today! She chased her sister around the yard and swam a lot. They both followed my older duck around for 15 minutes without any signs of getting tired!
