Why does this egg have a "stripe" around it?

I think my Speckled Sussex layed it. They have been like this recently. Pictures in different lighting.

I have gotten eggs like this but not usually more than one. I don't think its anything to worry about but I don't know why their little chicken paint gun does this

It is. I like it went they get random speckles on the eggs.

I think that's the bloom. That may be what this is too, but I wonder why it's like that.

Interesting. I have two speckled Sussex and i have gotten one like this from one of them but not the other. The one that lays the lighter eggs has never had one like this. Her egg is almost a cream color though so probably not much color to work with in her case
