Mine was OK'ish.... It kept temp fine most of the time. But for no reason it would spike to 102+ then go back to normal. It is very hard to keep humidity level. you have to open the bator to add water. The water tray is not big enough!..... Other than that it was ok. But now it is only used as a hatcher. I added 4 small tubs of water and put 4 wadded up papertowels under small vent holes. That way i can use a big syringe to add water to them without opening.

I have 2...one hatcher, one bator. They work fine for me, just need a little babying.
Make sure your room temp is stable. If you turn your house temp down at night, wrap a thin blanket or towel around the sides to keep the temp steady during the night. I use a 'real' straw (the kind your supposed to wash and use again) and a babies medicine dropper to add water during lockdown. Just position your extra sponges under the vent plugs. DO not violate lockdown! I think the LG's have trouble regulating after you open them....even if the humidity doesn't drop. It seems that once I've broken lockdown, the hatch goes downhill from there.

(I really need to quit grabbing the babies out before everything's hatched!

I chose the "other" option - I don't think it's the 'bator itself, I think it's shipped eggs. I am so darn disappointed. I have tried to hatch so many eggs and had 3 chicks hatch that lived, including one that hatched 3 days ago (which just happens to be a BCM!!!). Now that my birds are laying and Mr. Roo has been doing his job, I am now experimenting using my own eggs. I am on day 20 with one of my eggs, and today I put in another dozen. We will see what happens.

I guess I'll find out if it's operator error, or if it's due to the eggs being shipped.
