This is all well
And good but I live in the coldest spot in the United States. -25 is common daily for three months. I’m not willing to let my chickens suffer frostbite so I use Sweeter heaters and a generator if necessary. It depends on where you live IMO.

Most of my pens are unheated. But one of my barns has heat to try and keep it above 0F. -20 and -30 are not unexpected here and I've begun having major, devastating frostbite issues with some of my birds. Plus one of my breeds is not a cold hardy breed period

Is the frostbite caused by drinking water being kept in with the chickens?

No.

In most cases, for most people heat in the coop is not needed. However, I don't like the blanket statement of not to use heat. In some extreme climates heat is beneficial, and maybe that is addressed in the video. If not, it could be added as a part two.
