Why is 1 female cream legbars different?

3 female cream legbars all hatched the same day .. how come one hasn't got any tail feathers? Also has white in the wings which the other 2 haven't got and no were near as feathered as them.. obviously legbars are auto sexing which is why I kept these 3 .. any ideas?

Im no expert at all, but bc they are auto-sexing it crossed my mind the you might have a male chick.

I had 4 males 3 females .. males were totally different to this .. didn't have the chipmunk strip and they had yellow spot on head .. this one was exactly same as other 2 females just not growing the same .. just weird how it still hasn't got any tail feathers and not feathered out the same as the other 2

Not feathering normally may be bc of a genetic flaw or an illness?
Maybe its just temporary and she needs more time to grow her feathers ?
Or a recessive gene may have caused this weirdness and she will be a unique hen for the rest of her life.

Ah thankyou I'm pretty sure she is female no sign of comb growing or turning red .. be interesting to see how she turns out

Breeders that breed grand champion chickens for show carefully match specific roosters to specific hens to improve their chances of breeding one that will be good enough for show. Even with that caution, the vast majority of those chicks exhibit flaws that do not meet breed guidelines, at least close enough to show them.

I don't know where you got your chicks but hatcheries and most backyard breeders are not anywhere near that cautious. The hatcheries are not breeding for show, they are breeding for the mass market. That's why their chicks are so much less expensive than chicks or hatching eggs from grand champion breeders. Some backyard breeders are pretty good but many don't have a clue what they are doing as regards breed standards.

I don't see anything alarming, no indication of illness, mutations, or anything like that. I just consider that normal genetic variation in a flock that is not that tightly controlled when it comes to which roosters breed with which hens.
