Why is my baby chick feet red?

Hi good day
What are my baby chick's feet turning red?
I've never seen this before. Are they red bumps?
He walks and eats like normal, but occasionally he'd raise up his tiny foot and peck at it. And I also I am seeing him standing on one leg now? I took the mud off under his feet already but that's not what's causing it? What is that tho?

If the chick's feet have been wet/damp for long periods soreness will start; make sure the chicks are on dry bedding. Possibly some kind of mites.

what kind of bedding are you using? and how often are you changing it?

Looks like irritation from damp or soiled bedding, or wet conditions. Skin on the feet can break down quickly into foot pad dermatitis or bumblefoot. Is the chick in a brooder with heat?
