Why Is My Chick Acting Like This?

3 weeks olds are fine with temps 75-80 without a lamp. At night if it gets colder, they might need a lamp but make sure they can get away from it if too cold. Are they eating and drinking? Are they hunched or puffed up, or having runny poops with mucus or any blood?

One chick had a little blood in her poop, but I haven't seen any more. All of their droppings are normal. None of them are puffed up, but I haven't noticed them eating that much. They just mostly sleep.

Considering the symptoms you describe, if I were you I think I might run them on some Corid in the drinking water for 5 - 7 days....2 tsp per gallon. It won't hurt them, and it might solve the problem. I don't like to use Corid or medicated starter for chicks unless they need it,...because it is overused... but you do have to watch closely because sometimes they do need it, and Coccidiosis kills.
