Why is his head swollen and how do I treat it? He was perfectly normal yesterday so I have no idea what happened to him.

What state are you in? Have you added any new birds recently? It looks like a respiratory disease with a sinus infection from the face swelling, and nasal/beak drainage. Are there any bubbles in the eye on the swollen side? You can clean the eye with saline or a clean wet cloth, and then put either Terramycin or Neosporin ointment into the eye twice a day. If you can get Tylosin from Jedds.com online you can add a tsp of the powder to a gallon of water for 5 days. It could be mycoplasma or MG, but testing would tell you more.

I’m in Michigan and yes I have added 2 new chickens. But so far I haven’t seen any bubbles on his eye. Thank you I will try to get those things to help him right away.
