We too, have just had the exact same experience! Which is how I landed here on this page. We have one Cuckoo Marans, were expecting dark brown eggs, but alas, her eggs are very small and light blue.I can’t help but I just want to say she’s so pretty!
A lovely olive egger!I have a black marans I bought from a local breeder this summer and she just started laying------Green eggs!! Here I am anticipating those beautiful dark brown eggs, but NOPE! She also has grey/blue legs like my blue americaunas. She's a beautiful bird, bblack feathers with that green sheen in the sunlight. Just not what I was expecting.
