Why is my Pekin duck "sneezing"?

I will give her a couple cc of the Ivomec tonight with the Tylan and start them all on probiotics and electrolytes. I also have that stuff (I can't for the life of me remember the name) that is camphor oil and is applied to the beaks and under the wings etc. I'll give her that tonight too.

Two cc's of Ivomec is way too much and could be lethal! Do you have the pour on or injectable?

Good question, and I don't know... Tylan is meant to be given at least twice a day and the op is giving how much, 1ml once a day? There was a person in the peafowl forum that was treating her chick with a small amount of the Tylan once a day and she saw no improvement until she increased it to the 25 mg per pound twice a day, but her chick had many respiratory symptoms, so it was clearly the right thing to do.

I was doing 1ml once a day only because that was the info I could find. Definitely not correct lol. Should I start 1.5 morning and night?

I have the injectable. I give it to my pot belly pig orally though. Would .5 be better? I know Ivermectin is generally a safe de wormer but I definitely do not want to overdose her.

I do know that I can get Noromycin 300LA, LA-200, and Terra-Vet 200 all of which are injectable Oxytetracycline for cattle with the Noromycin 300 having the most mg per ml. I can get probably 20cc of that for next to nothing from my farm vet friend.

Can you get some Safeguard or Panacur from your farm vet friend? Paste or liquid is fine. If so, ask them for 10ml of either the paste or the liquid.

A tetracycline might work, but might not. Many bacteria are now resistant to it.

I'd say she weighs between 4 and 5lbs. My other Pekin hen probably weighs close to 8. She's much larger than the puzzle girl all around though. I will definitely ask about the pancur when I call her later.

No it's not especially because animals and humans alike have been so heavily medicated in the past years. That's why I really want something that can be dosed only to her. If the rest don't need it, I don't want them to have it, you know?
