why is one of my chicks stinky? UPDATE!!

the chicks only sneeze outside really. I mean inside they sneeze every once in a while, but thats normal for birds anyways... clearing the dust out etc...

I dont think I could locate where the smell is coming from for the life of me since you get a foot away from her and you can smell her! hopefully now that she's been bathed I can see if the smell is coming from someplace... perhaps its gone altogether, we shall see!

I'll keep you all posted on this... I'm going to smell her in a little bit. they are all napping at the moment

the bath went well!! she wasn't so into me wiping her with the little soft towel... but she enjoyed sitting in the water though!!! she peeped a little when I washed her with the little towel but she didn't try to get away or anything...

OK, I got her out and gave her a wiff... she mostly smells ok, but near her face it still smells...

A: couldnt really wash her face..... could be that?
B: she has sour crop?
C: something else funky going on?

its not her black toe though, the smell isn't coming from there.

prior to the bath I could smell her a foot away! now its just near her face... ideas??

Could she have gotten a cecal poo smell from the brooder and just have the overall whiff of that?

It can be reeeeeaaallly stinky.

clue me in... whats a cecal poo? LOL

whatever it is it smelled like raw rotting hamburger! NASTY!

hmmm...i would try to wash her face and if that fails, it could be a sour crop. you might want to take her to the vet or something..but lets hope not :[ but i hope we dont have to go that far
