i haven't been able to find anything on this and i am curious.

One of my two meaties, ziggy, is one year old and she hasnt molted yet. her sister, who is the same age is beautiful and white with a fresh coat. Ziggys feathers are all brown, thin and broken, and she looks filthy. (the dirt we have here is very red and it stains their feathers quite badly).

A few months ago our isa browns picked two huge deep wounds in her back and she was so badly injured that i feared she would die. we tendered her back to good health but feathers wont grow back there, and she has trouble walking correctly. (her and her sister are now separated from them, and she is getting much better, and is capable of properly running and scratching now, she just has a bit of a hobble. )

it's almost winter and im a bit worried that she wont be warm enough since her feathers are thin and she has yet to grow new ones.
could the injury have prevented this somehow or effected her cycle?

she is still laying at least five times a week, has a good diet and is in very good health apart from obvious scaring.
Any help would be great.

(if she dosen't molt soon, im going to have to make her a little suit.)
