If you want to know for sure 100% you need to keep the hens eggs separate and mark them as you collect them. There’s 50 different ways to do it. Your way is just guessing. Sure you’ll probably be right if there’s a huge difference in colors, size, and breed of hen but it no guarantee.check this out

Are you understanding what I’m saying about knowing for sure which hen laid which egg?if my chicken hens, was getting older then the color would change in hue? But they don't i know the mom of these too. the dark ones are not from my hens, they were bought, can you see the color are dark, can you pick mine out?
