you might want to check and see what is and is not legal to use in Canada it may save some headache at the border with customs and all there are a coupla Canadian supply houses as well that sell the same type of things

A coil spring trap IS a foot/leg trap. The words "coil spring" refer to the type of spring that makes the trap work. The other one you'll hear of is long spring.
I also use 1 1/2 coil spring traps. I've not stuck my finger in them, but I do know that it didn't hurt the dog that I trapped. No swelling or broken skin or anything like that, maybe a bit sore, but no lasting damage. If they let the pets roam loose anything could happen to it, like getting hit by a car or attacked by another dog, etc. so I think a sore foot should be the least of their worries. If I catch a chicken killing dog in the trap you can be SURE a sore foot is the least of their concerns.
The best way to keep your pets safe is to keep them home. Period.

I haven't seen him in a while... he dug up the 10 week old delawares we buried out back. we had a cocci outbreak and started treating but we lost quite a few.
He is either content because he had his feed or he might be infected as a result?
I have one last unlucky hen to cull tonight. she was infected at the same time but just never really got better
So if he now has cocci...does that mean he just might not come back or did I just spread that infection to the whole area???
