I have great (crazy) friends from Canada. When they come down hunting and you miss a deer you shot at they cut your shirt tail off. It doesn't matter if it's brand new and cost an arm and leg to keep you warm. It's gone.

You do know that there are breeds of domesticated deer, bred just for the purpose that you were after? That would probably be at least marginally manageable? At least more so than a WILD deer??
