Why you DON'T want to try & catch a deer.

Someone on the ranch tried it with an antelope many years ago; after it got up in the saddle with him and got him bucked off, it ran under the horse and ripped its belly open with its horns. I'm sorry but I fail to see the humor in it; seeing the game warden throw someone under the jail for trying it would be entertaining though.

The humor always comes to the person who experienced the event after the recovery period and everything heals so they can laugh at themselves.

Many years ago one of my hunting buddies was on his way to a party with his gf and there was a small buck standing in the road. It was right in the middle of the rut, when bucks act stupid. Instead of running off, the deer walked up to the front of the truck to check it out. This guy slowly gets out of the truck and walks around and grabs the buck by the antlers. While he stands there holding the deer, his gf calls over to the party and a couple other guys come down to where he has the deer by the antlers. One of them decided he was going to put the deer in the back of the truck and take it to the party (he had obviously been drinking). So he grabs the deer and starts pulling it toward the truck and the deer goes nuts bucking and kicking him with it's front hooves until he finally let go.

They where telling me this story a couple days later and I didn't believe them and told them they where full of %$@#. My buddy opened his shirt and showed me the hoove shaped bruises all over his chest and stomach

Ridiculously hilarious! It reminds me of Patrick McManus as well. Seems like whoever wrote it originally must have had some sort of experience like that. Who would think of it otherwise? Definitely showing my family
