wierd, strange, unusal and just down right wrong names for Kids.

My cousin named his son "Teal'q" (rhymes with "milk") They expressed concern at the time that they named him that he may be made fun of because his initials are TRD and they didn't want that made fun of. I think he has some other concerns than his initials from them naming him that.

By the way, they named him after a character on StarGate.

My niece is naming her son Spike Raybern Timpe

Yep, that will be his full given name.

Raybern is a combination name of her two grandfathers. Ray-Bernard

I hope, she changes her mind before the August due date.

I forgot to mention I have cousins named Misty Dawn Long, Amber Day Long and Sparkles Oliver.

My DH has a friend who goes by.... puss. And he has no clue what his real name is. And he also has a friend who goes by fish....but I do know his real name. It is Eric.
Nicknames are just as bad sometimes. I know a crowbar, shagbark, slow poke (my dad), noodle, head, meat, & hoppy. These are their nicknames and if you don't use their nicknames they will not answer you!

What, they couldn't name him Jack or Daniel?

Sorry, I guess you'd have to be Stargate fans to understand the names, but Teal'q? Wow.

We, by the way, are huge Stargate fans.

ETA: What's his middle name?

Mine too! Named J O Y E (same as Joy) but with the added "E" So most people think I don't know how to spell my own name and just call me "Joyce"! I've spent my whole life explaining there's not a "c" in my name.

Oh gosh, this reminded me.

DH was working at Target a few years ago and worked with a man with the last name Walker. You betcha, they named their son Lucas Skye.
DH asked him if they'd name the second Darth Vader and the guy said, given the chance, he would... OMG.

One of my very best friends is Carole - she's always saying "Carole with an e."
My name is somewhat unusual, and I find it useful; folks remember me. It's Wynette (so I say, "Like Lynette but with a W"). My middle name is Leilani (lay-lah-nee). Mom told me it was Hawaiin for Heavenly Flowers, though I'm not sure on that. My biological father was stationed in Hawaii when he was in the service, and the next-door neighbor was full-blooded Hawaiin - her name was Leilani and she named my middle name for her. They corresponded for years, and my mom passed away when I was a teenager. I understand they had a very special relationship. I wish I could find that person now & talk with her about mom.

Oh and my bil's sister is named Tinker, after Tinker AFB...they all had weird names but him (Tim). LoL

Hey, that's in my state! Is that where she was conceived? LOL

...I have to repeat it about 3 or 4 times so I just shortened it to Cetta in introductions.
