Wild pigs

*If you wish to suggest an alternate non lethal means of control, please share it in a non judgmental way that is a viable solution and not merely complaining about who was here first etc, IF it is directly related to the OP's request for assistance. If a non lethal alternative is offered, please be appreciative and remember that there are many ways and means and flaming a member for suggesting such an alternative will not be tolerated.

These rules were violated numerous times, and the violating posts were repeatedly quoted and replied to. PLEASE report any problem posts and DO NOT REPLY to them.

And remember, replying to a trolling or flaming post is, in itself, further stirring the pot and therefore also trolling.

I apologize for replying to the troll. I hadn't read the entire thread before replying. After replying I read the thread and realized that this individual was most likely trying to keep things stirred up. I'm sorry.

Me too, no more feeding them. I'll be much more aware.

We had a herd of domesticated - I think potbellied pigs, but don't remember for sure - that had been turned loose and getting out of control here. There were more than 20 that people knew about. They'd been around for a number of years before the DNR reported it. When they did, they said not to kill them, just report sightings. The pigs mysteriously disappeared that fall during deer hunting season. Haven't heard of any more sightings... They're most likely not as destructive as the truly wild ones, but were causing enough damage as it was. As far as I know, we don't have the ones most of you are plagued with here in western MN.
