That's perfect.
I do like to keep it at 60% them up to 70% at the end.
Great thread. I am getting ready to start a migratory waterfowl general info thread myself, just need the time to sit down, will probably fill up 2 pages just on my opening post!! LOL

Been a lot of activity on here from migratorys this year which I think is great and love to see, more people need to get involved with them, as much as people on here like ol back yard domestics and mutt ducks, we need to get them to the truly BEAUTIFUL ones, which are these, the worst migratory/ornamental duck will put a ol muscovy to shame,, Just my opinion, course I'm a touch bias on that subjetc too

I have 12 mandie eggs due tomorrow (day 29). Normally they take 29-30 days. So far I have 2 pips. Ive also got them hatching with a bunch of call ducklings. Thats what I did last year, and I never lost a mandarin duckling.

Good Luck with yours 1lpoock.

Beautiful birds. I started to use a stethoscope on my eggs in addition to candling. After 2 weeks you can hear their heart beat. It's so amazing. I feel it takes the guesswork out of the equation. You find cheap ones on ebay for as little as 3 dollars. I've paid for mine 7 dollars with shipping and love it. The product quality is good, but it is not designed for a doctors office with constant use. For egg checking it is just perfect and will last years. A single head stethoscope is sufficient. I've purchased a dual head and found the second head does not produce much sound for checking eggs.
