You'd have to get them used to the cage, by feeding them in it for several, or more, days.Hmmm... yeah, those were the two I was deciding between, grabbing them at night, or herding them into a cage or something.
Might be hard to do that in the neighbors yard, especially with the creep hanging around.
I set up a crate to catch a stray, feeder in there for days, wire rigged to close the crate door going into a nearby building where I could 'hide'. Took a a week to finally get her. I tried getting her off her roost at first but it was buried in a thorny bush and after the first miss, she started roosting too high to reach.
