Wild Wyandottes! What should I do?

Hmmm... yeah, those were the two I was deciding between, grabbing them at night, or herding them into a cage or something.

You'd have to get them used to the cage, by feeding them in it for several, or more, days.
Might be hard to do that in the neighbors yard, especially with the creep hanging around.
I set up a crate to catch a stray, feeder in there for days, wire rigged to close the crate door going into a nearby building where I could 'hide'. Took a a week to finally get her. I tried getting her off her roost at first but it was buried in a thorny bush and after the first miss, she started roosting too high to reach.

I think I'll just try herding first, if they are too scared, I'll go for grabbing them off the roost. (I'm not exactly sure where they roost yet, but I have a guess)

Maybe I could herd them myself... but then I would need permission from my neighbors to be on their property... and my neighbor has a creepy boyfriend who I do NOT want to run into. Tomorrow! I must do it tomarrow!

Nice! Good job and good luck. Have you seen them yet today? Be sure u know where they hang out/roost before you go, a failed attempt won't be good for you or them.

Yup, I already saw them this morning. We don't know exactly where they roost but we will only go for them once we know. There are two branches that look like great roosting places.

Thank you! I can't see at all from our yard, but they are still easy to watch. So watch them find a roost wile it is still a little light. Then wait until it is completely dark, take a dim light and catch them then. ? And yes, we can go on their lawn after dark, it isn't like their main yard, just a bit of lawn on the way to their door.
