A couple snakes from today. I ordered a cheap softbox diffuser. I'm going to try to use a diffused, off camera flash next time. Not sure how well it's going to work through the glass though.

I shot this one handheld, 100mm @ F/8 but the shutter speed was 1/4 of a second 😬

This one was 1/15th of a second with a 50mm @ F/4.5. I tried the higher ISOs, but they were costing me too much sharpness so I left the ISO low on these and just worked with the slow shutter speeds.

I want to get a shot with their tongue out but the only way to do that indoors is with a flash...

What can I do to fix the hazy purple on this guy's chin?

I tried just turning the saturation all the way down, and got this

Which is okay, but I want to know if the purple is avoidable or not. It happens in other photos as well, especially when they're underexposed and I have to brighten the shadows a lot, like this one.

You can clearly see purple on the edges of the branch the bird's standing on. I do have a UV filter on the lens, if that makes any difference...

The hummingbird doesn't have a naturally purple throat? THat's chromatic aberration?
