Wildlife Photography

I get frustrated feeling like I always have the wrong lens on.
Thats good that you can go home. Look at your images and think about it and go try again.
Yeah, I drive by this place every day on the way to work and I never even knew it was there until the other day. The lady working there told me about an wildlife rescue center that allows visitors near here too. Looking forward to checking it out.

That's what I like about "outdoor" wildlife photography. I can do just about everything with my 100-500, makes it simple....

The internet is a meme-tastic wonderland, but this is where it supposedly originated.
I didn't know they hissed until today. I got a little too close to one with some goslings and he was starting hissing like crazy, lol...

I went to the Evironmnetal Research Center in Mobile this afternoon. They take in wounded animals and rehabilitate them. Very cool place and only $3 admission. I definitely will be going back in the morning time as the sun will be positioned a lot better for pics.

Same issues as before shooting inside. I couldn't back up because then there would be reflections on the glass. I shoot wide open again because it was so dark. I shot manual focus which helped a lot and most of the critters were far away enough to give me decent DOF. I used my crop sensor camera which gave me a little more DOF too.

These are the indoor shots....
