Thanks. I've never tried black and white before but it seemed appropriate....The zebra shots are fantabulous!

Nailed it!Had an awesome time this morning and I think I took some of my best shots to date. I stopped on the causeway on the way home from work to try and get some osprey pics. While walking down the dock I noticed a small alligator about 6 feet away. He paid me no attention. So I walked back by him, got off the dock, and walked down to the waters edge about 5 feet from him, he never moved.
I was able to sit down and hold my camera just above the surface of the water (my lens hood was touching the water). I took a couple shots (couple hundred, lol) before the sun fully cleared the horizon and when it did I got a few more in the nice golden hour light.
He was next to a floating dock and the sun reflected off of the 55 gallon drums which colored the water nicely. My only issue was not being able to get his nose in focus because of the shallow depth of field. I stopped down to f13 but still couldn't get it in focus. I was too close and couldn't back up without losing my low angle. I realize now I should've zoomed out to get a larger depth of field then crop back in in post. I wish I woukdve zoomed out a littke bit more anyway because he is pretty tight in the frame. Oh well, I won't forget that next time....
