Have you caught lots of coons this way? I have an a large drum, I believe its an old oil drum. It's pretty tall. I think i'll try this out tonight.

55 oil drum next to a picnic table should do very nicely. You have one, what do you have to lose? It seems humane, you catch them live and can either eliminate impermanently as I do or release them.

I don't have a drum right now so I am using box traps then relocating them with a 22. If I find a good drum or a tall enough metal trash can I will certainly try it.

this will also work for mice or rats, just use a 5 gallon bucket. you want the water deep enough that they can't touch bottom, but not deep enough that they could possible reach the top
