Will a pekin duck quacking make a rooster crow?

I have a mystery breed rooster- should know more when the hens lay this spring, but he is marvelous because as roosters go he is very quiet. A few crows early morning and then zip for the rest of the day!!!!

I did chicken-sit a silkie rooster and man, when the silkie crowed, my rooster chimed in.

Will a quacking pekin prompt the same response?

Every rooster is different - with that being said my ducks will get my hens to making noises but the roo mostly ignores them.

Probably. Once a rooster finds his voice he will let the world know he exists!
