The minute and I mean minute amt. of dribble you get when the chickens peck at it, dries very quickly! There has never been a problem in my coop and we're going on a year now. Love them!
IMO the rabbit bottles are very leaky. I just went and looked at my rabbit's bottle and it is much more free flowing than a nipple and it seems to leak more. It could just be that bottle though.
