I put a peice of 7 grain whole wheat breed in there cage for a treat now they descovered it and going crazy but they have been going at it for like 10 min im going to take it out till i get a answear but i know some puppys will eat till there bellys expoled did not know abut chicks

Chickens are not going to eat themselves til they explode. They are somewhat more intelligent than dogs in that respect anyway. You have nothing to worry about.

Cornish X's will eat until they have heart attacks. But they were bred to do so. It is why they must be butchered within 6-8 weeks.

Any other chicken is going to know when enough is enough from what I've seen.
