Will eggs hatch after being in the fridge?

well i just hatch 36 chick from 4 dozen eggs, trouble are most are not turned. better to be in the fridge than setting in 80 degree.

I have heard from someone on here a while back that they hatched out some eggs they had in the fridge for 2 weeks.

I was driving back from Tunica last month Aug 8th and passed a sign on the side of the road saying "Fresh Eggs $2.00" so I decided to stop and buy some and put them in my bator and see what happened. I mean it was only $2.00. I paid the lady and she went inside and got the egss and brought them out and I noticed they were very cold and had been fefrigerated but I let them warm up on the counter and put them in the next day. I got 1 of them to hatch on the 19th day. The others didn't make it. I had some problems with the bator but I think I got it fixed now.

I am currently try to hatch about 16 eggs that were refrigerated for about 1 to 2 weeks. They are all developing as far as I know so Im not sure yet of the hatch rate. Ive read that the hatch rate will suffer, but I dont know for sure! We'll see! Ill keep you updated in a few weeks.

Update: 9 days left!

I have 16 refrigerated eggs in the bator' and 4 fresh eggs. I candled the eggs 2nite. I saw veining in all the eggs and even some movement in the embryo's! Not sure yet if they all will make it. Ill keep you all posted.

Do you mean store bought eggs, or your own eggs? I put a test batch of store bought in my bator while I was regulating the temp. I wondered if this is possible to hatch eggs right out of the fridge? lol I know, stupid question.

I used an eggout of the frige to balance my tray in the brinsea--It due to hatch today ro tomorrow.

Oh wow! I thought I was stupid for thinking they were possibly fertile. I left it in there for a day and when I went to take it out the first thing that came to mind is what if I take the eggs out but they actually started developing? I didnt think it could actually happen but the thought was there. That is so amazing, let us know if it hatches Ryu!!
