lately ive been getting about adozen eggs a day.yeaterday it really hot an i found four eggs.what is the problem with my layers?

idk but i know corn is not good for them in summer and make sure they have plently of shade and cool places to rest and ventilation in the coop

we have two hens, and I have the same question because its been hot here in Memphis and the last couple of days they haven't layed any eggs.

My experience is that the hotter it gets the fewer eggs I get. And Nicola is right about the corn- I only give scratch grains as a treat in the winter.

Good luck- I have been letting mine free range, so they can find cool spots- and they're laying eggs all over the place. Easter egg hunt every day!

Mine are laying just fine in 95 degree weather, but I bet when we hit our days of a 100 plus they'll give it up for awhile.

we've been in the 90*'s and my gals are going strong

however

sometimes you just have an 'off' day - should pick up - let us know!
