I use them, I also put a wall on both sides and a board across the front so the eggs don't roll out, I used a cheap floor tile from home depot coast .38cents so the straw stays in the bottom,for the sides I used scap boards from the Home Depot just ask for the culled wood it's cheap .50 cents to 1.00 a board
my Orp and Black Giant fits in them just fine.
