I have three chicks, two EE and one BR. My EE Munk, and my BR Joon are both VERY friendly. They love being stroked and held, and will perch on my arm. Joon has become especially fond of my 5 year old nephew Ronin. However, the OTHER EE Sula is VERY shy. She has no need for people, and is a devil to try and catch. When I brought them outside yesterday I was going to bring them back in and Sula darted out of the outside pen. I wasn't able to catch her, but luckily the other two chicks cheeped and coaxed her back in. She was panting though, because I was so scary to her, so I didn't make too much of an effort to physically catch her. I don't expect she will ever enjoy people, just because she is so shy and skittish, but I figure two friendly hens out of three isn't bad. I have handled each chick since day 1 a few times a day. Sula is just.. Scared. So it really depends on each individual chick too, but that's alright. As long as she lays eggs she has a place here lol.
Basically, give them time, and do continue to handle them. Put your hand in the brooder flat, they might jump on it like mine figured out how to do. But don't take it personally either, they are prey animals first and foremost
