Will My Ducks Remember Me?

I was gone for a couple weeks and when i came back my girls all did this funny little dance. They quacked excitedly while spinning and walking in circles around me. They had never done it before nor have they done it since. They were almost as exciting as my dogs. It was super cute.

I hatched a baby duckling about 3months ago and sadly they r growing to fast and my house don’t have space so I don’t know if they still remember me. I just gave them away 2 weeks ago there probably living their best life because at my house we don’t trust it to reign all over the place cuz it poops a lot but now their free. So I’m gonna go visit them some days over the weekend and I was just wondering how gud a duck memory is.

Having to rehome isn't always a bad thing. It shows' that you understood your situation and that you cared enough to find them a better environment to be raised in. That speaks volumes for the type of good person you are. My guess is they will remember you, link below will explain why.

Yes they do remember me but since they r free now they don’t really come but if I have food they’ll still come when I call them
