My Muscovy girl was spooked by a cat that came into our back yard and flew into the park near our home, we live in suburbia not on on a property.
I eventually found her in but she wouldn't let me near her, even though she is usually very sociable, we hand raised her. I know she was scared, but bverytime I got close she flew even further, eventally going over houses and I couldn't see her any more.
Do domestic ducks have the ability to remember where home is and has anyone else had this happen? I'm hoping she will remember where she lives is and will return....
She was also sitting on eggs, so I don't know if this will impect her decision to come home.
Also it is winter here now and the nights are quite cold.
