My Silkie's first and only chick (from a fertilized paint Silkie egg I bought) is about six weeks old, and Momma Puff is broody again. I know that a Silkie will adopt day old chicks when her eggs are hatching. ...is she smart enough to know when her eggs are suppose to hatch? Would she accept new chicks now?

There is no way to guess with 100% accuracy. Hens do seem to have some sense of the "correct" amount of time it takes to hatch, so some hens will reject a chick that is introduced to them too soon. Others are so determined to be Mamas that they don't care how long they have been sitting and will adopt a chick at almost any time. That she is a silkie certainly goes in your favor as silkies are often good mamas but it is no guarantee.

If you were going to try introducing this chick, I would do it well after dark, and then be there at first light to see how things are going once Mama realizes there is a live chick under her.
