Will pullets start to lay in the winter?

We have 9 BO that we got as day olds on July 13, 2009. We got our first egg on Dec 18, 2009. Now we are getting 6 or 7 eggs a day, we don't have artificial light. But we do have a zero degree rule, below zero at night we will turn on a light for warmth, that has only been a hand full of nights. Oh and we live at 7100 ft near the rockies. What good little chickers

Four of my BR cross pullets hatched on 8/22/09 started laying the first week in January. No artificial light. They've been very consistent too and laying every day. In fact, I'm getting a surplus every week. Made a coconut custard pie yesterday. Had a homemade egg mcmuffin for breakfast this morning and still they keep coming.
