Will quail eat pellets??

I got a new game bird feed, it’s pellets instead of crumbles. It seemed like my birds ate some at first but now haven’t touched it in a day or two. I’ve got 6 jumbo coturnix. Do pellets just last longer or are they not eating?? I’m so new to this still! Thanks for any help!

The pellets might be too big for the quail. Have you tried crushing some and seeing if they eat that?

Depends on the size of the pellets: 2mm pellets are fine for quails.
Bigger pettets I would crush in a kitchenmashine to crumbles (if you have a few birds. For a big population this is of course not practible).
