Will smaller breeds of hatching chicks get smothered by the larger breed hatching chicks under a broody hen?

How long has the alternative cochin bantam been broody? Sometimes a hen that has not been setting long will not be quite ready for motherhood just yet. Depends on the hen and breed but my cochins do love setting and raising chicks.

Just an update! We used the wyandotte to hatch all of the eggs, and we got 11 out of 18! Pretty good for so many eggs! And we removed 3 early for no development and the other 4 seemed to have stopped development halfway (so luckily no little dead chickies close to hatch; I hate finding those ). They are all healthy and cute!
