Will teeth every go back to natural coloring again?

You really don't have to use toothpaste for a clean mouth. It's the brush
and floss that remove the bacteria that causes bad breath, except for the
occasionally garlic and onion. Toothpaste is used to create a fresh feeling.
Over whitening can cause some damage to the enamel. It can cause teeth
to look translucent. The whitening substance does have an etching material,
which also will cause extreme sensitivity to the teeth and gums.
IMO, what God gave me is good enough!

Nope, not a fad. Historically, nice white teeth in neat, tidy rows has always been a sign of health, youth, and prosperity. My super high tech dentist told me to use Sensodine tooth paste, Act mouth wash, floss, floss, floss, and have a peroxide and baking soda regime inbetween. Combined with my bi-annual cleanings, I don't have to give up my coffee. I about killed my teeth with soda and sugar, and now have a mouth full of crowns that stain easier than natural. I don't have to use anything expensive to maintain them, not with the peroxide and baking soda (used separately)

He's high tech because he does everything in the office.. he doesn't outsource anything. Need a new tooth? He'll make it custom in about 12 minutes. He specializes in cosmetic dentistry.

I read in my Baker Creek Seed catalog that back in the old days of China, women would stain their teeth grey because THAT was fashionable back then! So, you never know, with today's fashions getting wierder than ever, what the future holds.

My brother and I have always used plain old Crest paste toothpaste (it's the fluoride you want, that makes your teeth nice and strong, while the brushing action cleans your teeth and the detergent keeps the crud from sticking back to your teeth) and neither of us has ever had a cavity.

I'm 43 years old. He's 39. A combined 82 years of cavity free existence! Neither of us have had braces either, but that's just getting lucky with good genes. No skill involved.

I use Crest Whitestrips to whiten, whenever I feel like they are getting a little yellowish (LOVE coffee). They are SAFE FOR ENAMEL.

Peroxide is safe for your enamel, but hard to keep just on your teeth. It is not safe for repeated use on flesh or gums. It is an oxidizer and destroys cells. Certainly your gum cells grow back, but what do we take anti-oxidants for? To stop super-oxide radicals from destroying our DNA. In other words, peroxide, in frequent use, increases your risk of cancer. How much? Who knows?

I use liquid peroxide to swish/rinse, after flossing, to get all the cruddy badness from between my teeth, that may not have gotten completely dislodged, during flossing. If I leave it in my mouth too long, I get white spots of dead gum and cheek tissue. Not good.
